What can we say? The fab five are back!

The Spice Girls are made up of five English women each with their own alter-ego.

Melanie Janine Brown was commonly known as Mel B. Eventually, the media nicknamed her “Scary Spice” because of her out landish remarks and in-your-face attutude. Her fashion style also reflected much of her outrageous personality which usually consisted of Brown donning lepard-print and revealing clothing. Brown has two children, a girl named Phoenix Chi with ex-boyfriend and Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar, and a baby boy named Angel Irish with ex-boyfriend and actor Eddie Murphy. She is currently 32

Emma Lee Bunton was given the nickname “Baby Spice” in the group because of being the youngest. Members said Bunton gave off an innocent yet coy demeanour and often could be seen wearing flowy “babydoll” dresses. She currently is 31 and has a baby boy named Beau with boyfriend Jade Jones.

Geraldine Estelle “Geri” Halliwell became famous for being “Ginger Spice” in the Spice Girls singing group. Born of Spanish, Swedish and English decent, Geri gave off a sexual primiscious appeal because of red locks with blonde highlights and revealing clothes. The talent in her singing voice coupled with sweetness and sensuality appealed to the audience in a very different way than the other members. Some even referred to her as “Sexy Spice.” She led the group with her outgoing, feminist attitude to a new level of success. She currently is 35 and has a baby girl named Bluebell Madonna.

Possibly the most current Spice Girl to make headlines today is Victoria Beckham, former “Posh Spice.” Since the breakup of the Spice Girls, Victoria has gone on to record and release four UK Top 10 singles. She is currently married to British football star David Beckham and has three boys with him, Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James and Cruz David. She is currently 33.

The last member of the group, Melanie Jayne Chisholm rose to fame with the Spice Girls as “Sporty Spice” because of her tomboyish interest in wearing athletic wear such as tracksuits and ponytails. She was also nicknamed Melanie C or Mel C. Fans may also recall her hit single “I Turn To You” off of her debut solo album, Northern Star. The song was featured in the film “Bend It Like Beckham.” She is currently 33.
